JetBlue unit revenues up 5% in July

JetBlue Airways has reported that its passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) increased by 5% compared with the same period last year.

Revenue passenger miles grew 7.3% to 3.5 billion, while available seat miles rose by 6.8% to 4.0 billion year-on-year during July. The New York-based airline's load factor rose by 0.4 percentage points to 87.6%.

Passenger numbers rose 5.6% to 2.95 million.

On a year-to-date basis, passenger traffic rose 7.4% on a capacity increase of 7.1% year-on-year.

The year-to-date load factor increased 0.3 percentage points to 84.9%, while passenger numbers rose 6% to 18 million.
