Jetstar Asia has found a replacement for its outgoing chief executive Chong Phit Lian.
The new chief executive is a Singaporean, said an airline spokeswoman, declining to reveal more details.
She added that an official announcement will be made in eight weeks.
Chong, who has been chief of the low-cost carrier since 2006, announced last month that she will relinquish her role as chief executive on 1 February but remain a member of the Jetstar Asia board to guide continued growth of the company.
Paul Daff, a founding senior executive of Jetstar Asia for three years and formerly head of its commercial segment, will take over as chief in the interim.
