Australian low-cost carrier Jetstar Airways plans to launch a domestic New Zealand service and increase the flight frequency on several other routes.
The carrier will begin a daily Wellington-Queenstown service from 22 December, it said in a statement.
It plans to increase its Melbourne-Queenstown service from two times a week to three times a week. It will also increase its Auckland-Queenstown service from nine times a week to 11 times a week.
Jetstar competes with various carriers such as Air New Zealand, Mount Cook Airline and Qantas Airways on all sectors.
