Jetstar has appointed Grant Kerr to head its New Zealand operations.
In this new Auckland-based position, Kerr will oversee the airline's operations, customer experience and stakeholder relations in New Zealand, and will lead more than 500 of the carrier's New Zealand team members.
Kerr will report to David Hall, Jetstar chief executive officer for Australia and New Zealand.
Hall says the new role is important as it focuses on improving the airline's operational performance and ensuring that it continues to grow its market share.
Kerr, who is expected to assume the new role in the second half of the year, has held senior leadership positions for the past 14 years in New Zealand and was most recently the general manager/managing director for Air Nelson.
