Low-cost carrier Jetstar will raise its frequency between Auckland and Christchurch from 1 September.

The airline will increase the number of flights on the route to 48 times weekly, up from 43 times weekly.

Jetstar will also suspend its four times weekly services between Wellington and Queenstown on the same date.

Innovata schedules show that Jetstar competes with Air New Zealand on the Auckland-Christchurch route.
