Jetstar Airways will launch nonstop services between Brisbane and Denpasar on 16 April 2014.
The four times weekly services will be operated by the airline’s new Boeing 787-8s. They will replace the five-times weekly services that Jetstar currently operates via Darwin using Airbus A320 aircraft.
Jetstar recently announced that it would close its Darwin base at the end of March next year, and reduce its flights through the city as a result of lower demand.
Flightglobal’s FlightMaps Analytics shows that on the Brisbane-Denpasar route, Jetstar competes with Garuda Indonesia and Virgin Australia.
