An Anglo-French European Defence Agency project to research lightweight radar and electronics for tactical unmanned air vehicles and missiles was announced following a 24 January meeting between UK defence secretary John Reid and French defence minister Michèle Alliot-Marie. The project will be a technology partnership incorporating the principle of geographic return for government/industry funding.
