Jordan Aircraft Maintenance Company (Joramco) has appointed Osama Fattaleh to succeed Simon Tate as chief executive.

Tate has been at the helm since June 2011, when he joined the Amman-based maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider from the engineering and construction group KBR in Abu Dhabi.

The qualified aeronautical engineer told Flightglobal last year that he wanted to grow the business by using existing capabilities more effectively and stabilising the firm's mainstay in labour-intensive airframe work.

Joramco says that Tate "strengthened its operations and has increased its capacity".

Fattaleh has worked in several different industries over the past 25 years and will "oversee the growth and expansion" of Joramco, the MRO company says.
