Chinese carrier Juneyao Airlines plans to launch two new services to South Korea in April.
The carrier will operate a daily Shanghai Pudong-Jeju service from 8 April and a twice weekly charter service to northeastern Gangwon province, starting 3 April, says the airline. It did not, however, specify the airport it will operate to.
Innovata schedules show that Juneyao will compete with Jin Air and China Eastern Airlines on the Shanghai Pudong-Jeju route.
Yangyang International Airport, located in Yangyang county, is the only international airport in Gangwon.
