Thai Airways International has confirmed that chairman ACM Prajin Juntong will resign from the airline.

He will be succeeded by vice-chairman Areepong Bhoocha-oom in an acting capacity, the airline says.

Juntong’s resignation comes after the airline announced that directors Dheerasak Suwannayos and Somchai Siriwatanachoke will step down in a Stock Exchange of Thailand disclosure.

All three resignations are effective from 20 August, the airline adds.
