Kahala Aviation has completed the purchase of two Boeing Classic aircraft with leases attached.

The company acquired a 1990-vintage Boeing 737-400 (24903) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines currently on lease to Aerosvit Airlines.

A 1990-built Boeing 737-300SF (24679) powered with CFM56-3B2 engines is on lease to Swiftair.

Kahala Aviation said it funded the transactions with a new equity source.

"These purchases are consistent with our corporate strategy of focusing on mid-life and older aircraft. We remain well funded and are looking to provide future liquidity to airlines and leasing companies as they sell their older model aircraft," said Kahala Aviation's chief financial officer Michael Howard.
