Kenya Airways will begin operating daily flights from Nairobi to Guangzhou via Bangkok on 1 April.

The flag carrier presently flies to the Chinese city four times weekly.

Chief executive Titus Naikuni says higher frequencies on the route will strengthen Nairobi's status as a hub serving 48 African destinations.

The return leg will also include a stopover in the Thai capital.
