KfW inks finance pact with AWAS for up to eight A320s

German financier KfW IPEX-Bank and AWAS Aviation Capital have signed an export credit agency-backed facility for up to eight Airbus A320-200 aircraft.

The facility is fronted by the Germany's Euler Hermes, according to KfW, which confirms the deal.

The first aircraft (MSN 5512) was delivered new to Star Flyer and will be on a long-term operating lease to the carrier. The transaction closed on 20 March 2013.

The remaining seven aircraft are scheduled for delivery throughout 2013.
