German bank KfW IPEX-Bank closed a Japanese operating lease financing on a new Boeing 787-8 aircraft recently acquired by operating lessor BBAM.
KfW IPEX-Bank is the acting as agent and security trustee on the 12-year loan.
The aircraft (MSN 34423) is the first of two 787s acquired by BBAM from TUI Travel under a purchase and leaseback transaction.
The aircraft will be operated by UK-based subsidiary Thomson Airways.
Thomson already received another 787 (MSN 34422) last week and has two more deliveries scheduled in June and August.
The charter carrier will take another 787 this year in November this year.
