India's Kingfisher Airlines confirms that it will commence daily services on the Mumbai-Hong Kong and Mumbai-Singapore routes.
The Mumbai-Hong Kong route will commence on 15 September, and the Mumbai-Singapore route will commence on 16 September, says a Kingfisher spokesman.
Kingfisher will operate Airbus A330-200 aircraft on both routes, he says.
Kingfisher awaits government approval on five other routes: Mubai-Bangkok, Mumbai-Dubai, Mumbai-Colombo, New Delhi-Bangkok, and New-Delhi Dubai, he adds.
"We hope to get approvals by early winter," says the spokesman. "We can get better yields on these routes than we can domestically."
The launch of Kingfisher's Mumbai-Singapore, Mumbai-Hong Kong, and Mumbai-Dubai were originally scheduled for early 2009.
