The supervisory board of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has approved the appointment of Camiel Eurlings to the role of president and chief executive.
Eurlings will begin his new role on 1 July 2013, succeeding outgoing CEO Peter Hartman.
The airline's board of managing directors will thereafter consist of Eurlings, Pieter Elbers and Erik Varwijk.
Hartman, who became CEO in April 2007, will continue to work for KLM until his retirement on 1 January 2014. He will also remain on the board of directors at Air France KLM.
