Dutch flag carrier is due to reveal its financing plans for a new Boeing 777 aircraft, scheduled for delivery in May.
The carrier approached banks and leasing companies on an informal basis, but did not issue a formal request for proposals, according to a banking source.
Bids have been submitted for US Export-Import Bank-(Ex-Im) guaranteed financing as well as for a Japanese operating lease with a call option.
The aircraft (MSN 42172) is the eight 777-300ER for KLM. Last year the Dutch carrier financed one delivery with Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank and Apple bank co-arranging a French tax lease structure combined with an Ex-Im guarantee.
