Kuwait Airways has renewed its general trade agreement with MRO firm Jordan Aircraft Maintenance (Joramco).
Under the terms of the contract, Joramco will provide maintenance services for eight Airbus aircraft including three A300s, three A320s and two A340s.
The Amman-based MRO firm will conduct five maintenance checks this year on behalf of the Kuwaiti flag carrier, while three more checks will be performed in 2013.
The renewed agreement includes heavy aircraft maintenance C checks.
Kuwait Airways grounded three aircraft this summer following an emergency landing by an A300 in Medina. The airline has repeatedly been forced to defer its fleet renewal plans due to wrangling in the Kuwaiti parliament.
