Kuwaiti start-up Wataniya Airways has brought forward the date for its first flights, and will begin operations within a month.

The carrier had originally intended to commence services in February but will begin operating to Dubai, its first destination, on 24 January.

Wataniya Airways says it has advanced the schedule because of the early arrival of its first Airbus A320.

Flights to Dubai will be twice-daily. Wataniya Airways is also planning links to Beirut and Bahrain.
