Chilean operator LAN Airlines plans to launch new service on a Santiago-Madrid-Paris routing on 2 September.

Pending approval, LAN says it will offer three weekly flights on the route with Airbus A340s featuring 263 seats including a new lie-flat seat in business class. Flightglobal's ACAS fleet database shows that LAN currently operates five A340-300s.

Currently LAN serves the European destinations of Madrid and Frankfurt.
