The Bolivian Transport and Telecommunications Authority (ATT) has allowed LAN and TAM Mercosur to "temporarily" resume ticket sales, after an almost month-long administrative dispute over the renewal of the carriers' commercial license.

The ATT had ruled on 15 February that LAN and the Paraguayan subsidiary of Brazil's TAM, TAM Mercosur, had failed to comply with pre-requisites to renew their commercial license in Bolivia. The two airlines ignored the order but stopped selling tickets locally for their flights to Chile and and Paraguay more than a week later, even as they continued operating normally.

With the latest ruling, both carriers have been permitted by the ATT to resume local ticket sales pending a final decision.
