LATAM Airlines Group carrier LAN Peru will add two domestic destinations to its network in the fourth quarter.
The carrier will begin service from Lima to Ayacucho and Talara, expanding its domestic network to 16 destinations.
LAN Peru will operate thrice weekly to Ayacucho and daily to Talara, operating Airbus A320 aircraft on both routes.
"As we complete 15 years flying in Peru, LAN Peru wants to continue its ongoing commitment to the country and to continue to improve connectivity. We want our passengers to travel to more destinations, enjoying the service, quality and timeliness that characterise all airlines in the Group," says Felix Antelo, CEO of LAN Peru.
LAN Peru will compete against Peruvian carrier Star Peru on both routes. Star Peru operates BAe 146 aircraft. Peruvian carrier LC Peru also flies between Lima and Ayacucho, with Bombardier Dash 8 200s.
