The new Terminal 3 at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport will open to international flights tomorrow.
The 1.9 million sq ft facility, built at a cost of $2.4 billion, will increase capacity at the airport to 53 million passengers a year. The airport handled almost 48 million passengers at its peak in 2007.
Terminal 3 will add seven international and seven domestic gates, says the airport.
Construction company Bechtel had started building the terminal in June 2007. It is also working on airports in Doha, Muscat and London Gatwick.
