French aerostructures and component manufacturer Latécoère grew revenue, excluding exceptional items, by 12.1% to €520.6 million ($687 million) in 2011 on the back of increased activity across the aerospace sector.

The company, a tier 1 supplier to major Boeing and Airbus programmes, had total revenue in the aerostructures segment of €289 million, an increase of 11.7% on 2010. Its interconnection systems business unit had revenue of €153.3 million, up 3.7%, and engineering and services generated revenue of €78.3 million, 35.5% higher than the previous year.

Total revenue, including a one-off payment of €55 million related to development costs, was €575.6 million.

Latécoère anticipates revenue growth in 2012 of "about 10%", it said, "based on the latest delivery rates released by aircraft manufacturers".

Its order book amounts to €2.2 billion, or four years worth of production.
