LATAM closes A320 sale and leasebacks with ICBC Leasing

Latin American airline group LATAM has closed sale and leasebacks on two new Airbus A320 aircraft with Chinese lessor ICBC Leasing, Flightglobal's Ascend Online database shows.

The first aircraft (MSN 5801) was delivered to LAN Airlines on 17 October. It is equipped with CFM International CFM56-5B4/3 engines.

ICBC Leasing established a Dublin-based special purpose vehicle, Sky High XXIV Leasing, for the acquisition.

The second aircraft (MSN 5818), was acquired by Sky High XXV Leasing, on 19 October. The aircraft is also operated by LAN Airlines.

Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database shows that LATAM group has four new A320 deliveries scheduled throughout the end of this year. LAN Airlines will take delivery of two aircraft while TAM Linhas Aereas will add two A320s.
