LATAM traffic up 2% in July

LATAM Airlines group has posted a 2% increase in traffic in July compared with the same period in 2012.

Capacity increased 2.6% and the load factor fell 0.4 percentage points to 83.2%.

Domestic passenger traffic in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia rose 10.3%, as capacity increased 14.7%, resulting in a 3.1 percentage point decrease in the domestic load factor to 78.7%.

Domestic passenger traffic in Brazil fell 0.9%, as capacity decreased 4.5%, which resulted in a 3.1 percentage point increase in load factor to 84.5%.

International passenger traffic rose 1.9%, with capacity up 4.5%, resulting in a 2.1 percentage point fall in the international load factor to 83.6%. International traffic includes the international operations of both LAN and TAM on regional and long haul routes.

Cargo traffic for LATAM Airlines Group decreased 1.3% against capacity growth of 1.9%. The cargo load factor fall by 1.8 percentage points to 54.6%.
