Nordic Aviation Capital today confirmed a previously announced order for 12 Bombardier CRJ1000s to be leased to Indonesian carrier Garuda.
Nordic's 12 CRJ1000s are part of a broader order that included six aircraft acquired directly by Garuda in February.
Garuda selected the CRJ1000 over the Embraer E195 in February.
A Bombardier official told reporters on 20 June that the first CRJ1000 ordered by Garuda will be delivered during the third quarter.
The first aircraft has already been painted in Garuda livery and only awaits the installation of its General Electric CF34 engines.
