Lufthansa Technik has appointed Burkhard Andrich to succeed Gerald Frielinghaus as chief executive of its base maintenance facility in Manila, the Philippines.
Andrich has been senior vice-president of aircraft component services at LHT’s main base in Hamburg and will be replaced by Harald Gloy, currently vice-president of engine overhaul.
Frielinghaus, meanwhile, will return to Germany to manage a “paperless maintenance” project in Frankfurt. This programme is aimed at migrating paper-based maintenance documentation to an electronic format, and has “high strategic and commercial value”, says LHT.
All appointments are effective 1 February.
