Indonesia’s Lion Air has signed a sale-and-leaseback transaction covering another batch of new narrowbody deliveries with operating lessor Avolon Aerospace.

The Indonesian low-cost carrier has already received one Boeing 737-800 (MSN 39815), which was handed over earlier this month.

The aircraft is the first delivery under a six-aircraft sale-and-leaseback deal covering four 737-800s and two Airbus A320s.

The transaction follows last year’s mandate for six 737-800 deliveries between the parties in a transaction arranged by Singapore-based Transportation Partners.
