LOT Polish Airlines plans to tap the banking market again for its second batch of Boeing 787 deliveries starting to deliver next year, according to a source at the carrier.
The Polish flag carrier is to issue a request for proposals at the end of this month covering one delivery, scheduled for March 2014.
LOT Polish Airlines secured financing for the first five aircraft of the type with an Ex-Im-guaranteed loan provided by Apple Bank for Savings last November, with an option to refinance the units in the capital markets with KGS-Alpha Capital Markets.
The carrier tapped the capital markets for the financing of three 787 deliveries. The fifth and final 787-8 delivery, under the Ex-Im guaranteed mandate, delivered on 29 July.
The remaining two 787s are scheduled for 2015-16.
