Lufthansa converts more E-190s to larger E-195 model

Embraer has revealed that Lufthansa has converted three Embraer 190 firm orders to the Embraer 195 model in the second quarter.

Lufthansa currently operates 21 E-Jets, of which 15 are Embraer 195s while six are Embraer 190s. Its backlog now stands at six Embraer 190s and three Embraer 195s.

In the second quarter of this year Embraer delivered a total of 69 jets to the airline and executive jets segments. However commercial deliveries dropped to 29 from 35 aircraft compared with the second quarter of 2009.

Embraer handed over two ERJ-145s, four Embraer 170s, three Embraer 175s, 15 Embraer 190s and five Embraer 195s to customers.

As at 30 June 2010, backlog for the ERJ-145 model stood at five aircraft. The E-Jet family backlog stood at 227 aircraft: 12 Embraer 170s, eight Embraer 175s, 167 Embraer 190s and 40 Embraer 195 to customers.
