Traffic at Lufthansa Group airlines increased 1.7% year-on-year in September, against capacity grown by 0.2%.
Load factor was up 1.2 percentage points to 81.6%, while the total number of passengers carried by the group rose 1.6% to 9.56 million.
Cargo load factor increased by 1 percentage point to 66%.
Austrian Airlines's traffic fell by 1.9% on capacity shrunk by 8.2%, resulting in a 5.3 percentage point rise in load factor to 82.9%. Passenger numbers declined by 2.8% to 1.12 million.
Swiss International Air Lines' traffic increased 8.8% on capacity grown by 5.9%, resulting in a 2.4 percentage point rise in passenger load factor to 86.1%. It carried 1.52 million passengers in September, up 4.3% year-on-year.
Lufthansa's passenger airlines - including its regional operation and low-cost carrier Germanwings - saw combined traffic growth of 0.5% against a capacity increased by 0.1%.
Load factor rose by 0.4 percentage points to 80.5%, while the total number of passengers carried grew to 6.92 million in September, up 1.8% year-on-year.
