Lufthansa's chief information officer, Thomas Endres, is stepping down.

The German carrier says he decided to leave his post, effective 31 March, to pursue other responsibilities outside the company.

Endres has been head of the airline's information management division since 2002, where he made a "crucial" contribution to the development of its IT systems, Lufthansa says.
