Lufthansa has contracted Goodrich to retrofit LED runway turnoff lights on the German carrier's fleet of Airbus A320 family aircraft.

Pilots have reported being able to see better with the exterior LED lights, which will be integrated into the aircraft nose landing gear in two locations, the supplier says.

Goodrich also says it will be able to install the lights on Lufthansa's A319, A320 and A321 aircraft in 15 minutes or less. It will carry out the work at its lighting systems facility in Lippstadt, Germany.
