France's Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport has opened a satellite to its simplified Terminal 3 building catering for low-cost carriers, which it is in the process of refurbishing.
The satellite will be connected to Terminal 3, due to be completed in April 2012, via an underground gallery located under the aircraft taxiing zone.
The 5,000m² (53,820ft²) satellite features two departure lounges and has capacity for 3 million passengers.
