Chinese authorities have granted a production certificate for Xian Aircraft's MA600 turboprop, which allows the manufacturer to produce and deliver the aircraft to customers.
The certificate was granted by the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) on 8 December, says Xian's parent, the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC),
Xian's MA600 is an upgraded version of the MA60, and had its maiden flight in October 2008. The aircraft received a type certificate from the CAAC on 18 May, adds AVIC.
The Laos government recently signed an order for two MA600s at Airshow China in Zhuhai in November.
