Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will launch a nonstop service between Kuala Lumpur and Kathmandu from 1 September.

The carrier will operate thrice weekly flights on the route using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The introduction of the service is in line with its efforts to further strengthen its regional market presence as outlined in its business plan announced in December last year, says MAS.

Innovata schedules show that MAS will compete with Nepal Airlines on the route.
