Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has posted a 15.2% growth in RPKs in April.
Domestic RPKs grew 5.9%, while international RPKs rose 16.3%, said the airline. Total passenger numbers increased 9.9% to 1.16 million. Domestic passenger numbers rose 3.1% to 406,000 and international passenger numbers grew 14% to 754,000.
Overall capacity, as measured in ASKs, rose 12.1%. Domestic capacity grew 2.6% and international capacity increased 13.3%.
The airline's passenger load factor grew 2.1 percentage points to 77.4%. On the cargo front, MAS' freight traffic in load tonne kilometres fell 11.4%.
