Kuala Lumpur International Airport's (KLIA) passenger numbers increased by 14.8% in April compared with the same period last year.
KLIA's domestic passenger numbers rose by 17% year on year to 1.1 million and its international numbers increased by 13.8% to 2.57 million, says the airport's operator Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB).
At MAHB's other airports, passenger numbers grew by 9.2% to 2.35 million. Domestic passenger numbers went up by 11.4% to 1.97 million and international passenger numbers fell by 1.2% to 372,000.
Cargo movements at KLIA increased by 5.3% to 57,800 tonnes, and cargo movements at other airports rose by 10.8% to 19,500 tonnes.
KLIA's aircraft movements rose by 14.6% to 26,000 and aircraft movements at the other airports went up by 10.8% to 32,800, adds MAHB.
