Indonesian low-cost carrier Mandala Airlines doubled the frequency of its Jakarta-Padang service to twice daily on 15 April.

It also suspended its daily Surabaya-Denpasar service on 8 April, the airline's spokesman says.

Mandala uses Airbus A320 aircraft on both routes.

Innovata schedules show that Mandala competes with Garuda Indonesia, Citilink, Lion Air and Sriwijaya Air on the Jakarta-Padang route.
