The managing director of DHL's German cargo hub in Leipzig, Eric Malitzke, is stepping down at the end of July.

A Deutsche Post DHL spokesman tells Flightglobal Pro that Malitzke decided to continue his career outside the company. He was also vice-president and director, hubs and gateway Germany, and managing director of the Leipzig hub since early 2009.

The spokesman declined to name a successor for the post.

Prior to his stint with DHL, Malitzke was managing director of Leipzig/Halle airport.
