Mexican regional carrier Aeromar has promoted EVP and CFO Ami Lindenberg to the position of president.

Lindenberg first joined Aeromar and moved to Mexico from his native Israel 13 years ago. As EVP and CFO, he already was in charge of the carrier's administration, commercial and finance divisions.

Lindenberg previously was at Israel's Arkia Airlines, where he worked for 22 years. When he left Arkria he was commercial VP for the carrier's international division.

Aeromar says in a statement that Lindenberg was formally promoted last week following a meeting of the company's board of directors. The carrier currently operates a fleet of 14 ATR 42s, serving 18 destinations in Mexico and one in Texas.

Aeromar is an independent regional carrier but has a comprehensive codeshare with Mexicana.
