Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has completed a fabrication factory at the Oye plant of its Nagoya Aerospace Systems Works, writes Seiji Hirokawa in Nagoya. The plant is part of MHI’s composite wing centre that will produce carbonfibre wingboxes for the Boeing 787. Assembly of the first wingbox will begin in October and the the first batch of wingboxes is due to be shipped in March next year.
