Airbus's new US-based final assembly line in Alabama will contribute to the airframer's planned A320-family monthly production rate increase to 46 aircraft.
The airframer is intending to hike the rate to 44 in the first quarter of 2016 and then quickly move to 46 in the second quarter.
Airbus currently produces 42 A320s per month. Hamburg is the primary source, with 22, while Toulouse produces 16 and the Chinese plant at Tianjin builds four.
Toulouse and Tianjin will maintain their output. The increase in production, says Airbus, will come from raising Hamburg's rate to 24 while the Alabama plant, to be located at Mobile, will contribute two aircraft.
Mobile's facility is due to open next year and the first A320 is scheduled to roll out in 2016.
