UK leisure carrier Monarch Airlines' managing director, Tim Jeans, is stepping down from his position and will be succeeded by Kevin George.
Monarch states that Jeans has "significantly developed" the carrier's scheduled business but is leaving to "pursue other opportunities outside the group".
George takes over the post at the head of the airline with immediate effect. He was previously in charge of operations at the carrier.
Monarch Airlines operates a fleet of 30 aircraft on scheduled and charter flights from several UK airports, among them London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester and Birmingham.
