The Swiss Air Transport Foundation has proposed Monika Ribar for appointment to the board of directors of Swiss International Air Lines.

The proposal will be put forward for approval at the company's 2012 annual general meeting on 28 June.

If appointed, Ribar will succeed Walter Bosch, who is stepping down from the board after almost ten years in office.

Ribar is currently chief executive of Panalpina World Transport and also sits on the boards of Logitech and SIKA.
