Tajikistan's Somon Air has awarded AJ Walter Aviation a five-year by-the-hour component support contract covering two Boeing 737 Classic aircraft.

"We are extremely proud to work with Somon Air," says Christopher Whiteside, president of AJW. "Our specialist team will utilise our strategic stock of Boeing spares in place across the region, to ensure that we continue to deliver our trademark power-by-the-hour support for their fleet and underpin their development plans."

In January, the UK-based component specialist and Somon Air agreed a five-year support contract covering four 737s.

AJW supports more than 400 aircraft in total, and is in the process of ramping up its global repair and overhaul headquarters in Montreal.
