MTU Aerospace has signed a deal with Xian Aero-Engine for the supply of 52 finished parts from the Chinese company for its engines.

The value of the deal is estimated to increase to €6 million ($8.2 million) by 2016, the German company said in a statement.

Items that will be produced in China include rotating and stationary rings, disks, and small turned/milled parts. The first deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of 2012.

The parts will be used to manufacture powerplants including International Aero Engines (IAE) V2500, Engine Alliance GP7000, Pratt & Whitney PW2000 and smaller Pratt & Whitney Canada engines, added MTU.
