Myanmar and Bangladesh have signed a new air services agreement.

Under the agreement, designated carriers from both countries are now permitted to operate four weekly cargo services and daily passenger services, said an official from Myanmar's Department of Civil Aviation.

In addition, the agreement omits capacity restrictions and permits carriers to fly to any points between the two countries.

Myanmar Air International, Air Bagan, GMG Airlines, United Airways and Biman Bangladesh Airlines have been designated to operate services between Myanmar and Bangladesh.
