Japan's Narita airport recorded a 15% year-on-year decrease in September passenger traffic to 2.55 million.
Domestic traffic increased by 2% to 149,000, while international traffic dropped by 16% to 2.4 million.
Aircraft movements at the airport in September recorded a 6% decline to 15,600, said the airport operator.
Domestic aircraft movements rose by 5% to 1,700, while international aircraft movements dropped by 7% to 13,800.
The airport posted a 13% decline in cargo traffic to 158,000t.
